If you are a top-level contributor, you were assigned an email address with your handle, handle@imperialdam.com. To make it easier, this email address forwards to the email address we have on file for you, the address with which we originally corresponded. The reason for this new email is that we take security very seriously. We will not allow email addresses like gmail, yahoo or hotmail which are very susceptible to being hacked and spoofed, to have access to any of our websites as a login from top-level contributors, or allow any of our members to be exposed to these hacking practices. What you may or may not know, the websites themselves will be generating notifications about comments, mailing lists, information requests, etc., and these will be sent to your assigned email accounts. This is done to protect the website and you. Therefore, anyone who is unwilling to use his or her assigned email will have to be removed as a top-level contributor and be limited to membership privileges only.
